How we collect, use and protect personal information on ciif.africa. Last updated: 12 July 2026.
This website, ciif.africa, is operated by Creative Industries Initiative for Africa (C.I.I.F.A.) Limited ("CIIFA", "we", "us"), a company registered in Nigeria with its office at 4B Onikoyi Lane, Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos. For anything in this policy, contact us at info@ciif.africa or +234 817 256 0000.
This policy covers personal information collected through this website. CIIFA programmes (such as CBA for Africa, the Skill Pool Initiative, the Enterprise Programme, the Creative Career Fair and the CIIFA SafeHouse) may run their own platforms with their own privacy notices; where a programme collects data through its own application, registration or learning systems, that programme's notice applies alongside this one.
We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and, where applicable, other data-protection laws. Our legal bases are: consent (when you contact us or ask for updates), contract (when we deliver a booking or service you requested), legitimate interests (running and securing our business), and legal obligation.
We do not sell personal information. We share it only:
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, for example, the life of an enquiry, booking or programme relationship, plus any period required by law (such as financial record-keeping), after which it is deleted or anonymised.
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No internet service can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we take the duty seriously and limit access to those who need it.
Under the NDPA you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict processing, ask for portability, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@ciif.africa and we will respond within the timelines the law sets. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
This website is aimed at adults and organisations. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site; where a CIIFA programme admits participants under 18, consent and safeguards are handled through that programme's own processes.
We may update this policy as the website and our programmes evolve. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version, and significant changes will be flagged on this page.
