About

Talent was never the problem.

Africa's creative talent travels the world, but most of it earns like freelancers and burns out young. The gap isn't talent. It's systems. CIIFA exists to build them.

What CIIFA is

The Creative Industries Initiative for Africa (CIIFA) is a for-profit creative enterprise dedicated to developing and delivering high-quality programmes, projects and platforms that build capacity and create value within Africa's creative industries.

We are a professional services business committed to delivering exceptional, measurable results for our clients and partners, while building a sustainable and successful organisation that strengthens the continent's creative value chain. We work across music, film, fashion and the wider creative industries, and we build in public: every programme on this site is either live or in active build, with real dates attached.

Mission & vision

Our mission is to be the leading provider of innovative and high-value solutions for Africa's creative industries, building lasting partnerships through quality, integrity and measurable results.

Our vision is a respected, successful creative enterprise that sets the standard for innovation, quality and professional excellence in Africa's creative market.

Our core values

How we work with the Creative Talent Foundation

Several of our flagship programmes are delivered in partnership with the Creative Talent Foundation (CTF). The division of labour is simple: CTF drives the mission of developing creative talent; CIIFA is the execution engine that designs and runs the programmes. The Creative Business Academy for Africa is executed by CIIFA for CTF, and the Skill Pool Initiative is a CTF × CIIFA platform.

The model

The track record

CIIFA's programmes are built on delivery, not promises: 8,000+ young Nigerians trained with Google.org through Engage Nigeria, 1,500+ professionals developed through the Music Business Academy for Africa, 30+ creative startups incubated with the British Council, and 50+ talents taken from discovery to career readiness. The people

CIIFA was founded by Godwin Tom (Founder & CEO) and is led with Femi Taylor (Co-Founder), supported by a deliberately small senior team running institutional-grade systems, so the organisation scales with its programmes, not its payroll.
