Creative Business Academy for Africa

What it is

CBA for Africa is the flagship education programme of the ecosystem: a structured, cohort-based business academy for the creative industries. It exists because Africa's creative sector is talent-rich and company-poor, and the business of creativity is teachable.

The programme is executed by CIIFA for the Creative Talent Foundation (CTF): CTF holds the talent-development mission, CIIFA runs the curriculum, admissions, platform and delivery.

The rhythm of the year

Each CBA year builds to CBA for Africa Week: graduation week for the cohort, and the anchor week of the CIIFA calendar. In 2026 that's the week of 23 November, closing with the The AMEDI Festival The Investors Session and the AMEDI showcase, where graduates meet the industry that will hire, sign and fund them.

The full CBA for Africa site is on its way. Until it launches, this page is the official home of the programme, admissions announcements will appear here and on the News page. Enquiries: info@ciif.africa.
